These Are the Accessories That Got Us Through New York Fashion Week

Sponsored Story Occasionally, we use affiliate links on our site. This in no way affects our editorial decision-making. September’s NYFW shows have officially come to a close, marking the end of a whirlwind week for fashion editors, including team Fashionista. Our bi-coastal team convened in New York City to hit up all the biggest runway shows, presentations, parties and events for Spring 2027 — including, of course, Coach’s 85th anniversary show . But what were the chic-yet-functional bags and on-trend footwear that got us through it all in style (and, equally as important, comfort)? Coach’s accessories lineup was in heavy rotation to be sure. Barefoot Trend or Shoe Mishaps? At New York Fashion Week, It's a Bit of Both

To the untrained eye, it may have looked like an anti-shoe trend was brewing at New York Fashion Week. Multiple designers seemingly sent models down the runway with their dogs out: At Jane Wade, a handful of shoe-free looks emphasized the outdoorsy Spring 2027 collection, while 6397’s debut catwalk featured one model baring sand (?) -covered toes and LoveShackFancy welcomed barefoot dancers to underscore the ’90s hippie aesthetic of its salon-style presentation. But most of this season’s foot-baring styling choices weren’t actually choices at all. At 7 For All Mankind’s show, models strutted down the catwalk in Y2K-era platform pumps (the kind that make your ankles hurt...

Tanner Fletcher Takes a Road Trip to New England for Spring 2027

Tanner Richie and Fletcher Kasell, the design duo behind Tanner Fletcher, may both hail from the Midwest (Wisconsin and Minnesota, respectively), but for Spring 2027, they’re headed to the East Coast. The brand unveiled its latest collection during a preview at its Chelsea studio on Monday, an expansive 61-look lineup that marks the second chapter of “Cabin Wear,” which Kasell described as “sort of a brand within a brand” for Tanner Fletcher. Where the brand’s first Cabin Wear collection centered on “the woodsy Midwest nostalgia of fall,” this second one shifts to “a relaxed coastal sensibility,” per collection notes. Richie and Kasell take road trips around New England to collect antiques often, they told Fashionista during the preview. “A lot of those pieces are what inspired the collection and our first little nod to nautical,” Richie said. Those nautical themes can be seen in details such as sai...
