In Good Company: Hoops Abuelas | Nike
Founded in 1953 in Orizaba, Mexico, team Carta Blanca’s players have been defying stereotypes about women and sports for as long as they can remember. For almost seven decades, these women have slipped on their canary yellow jerseys and cast giant shadows on the basketball court. They’re revolutionaries in their community, an extended family of strong women who laugh, cry, and play sport together every day. For these amazing women, family is the teammate who reaches out a hand when legs give out on the court or who delivers a competitive shove in the paint because they know—even at 70-plus—they can handle it. Director: Orian Barki Thank you to the amazing women of team Carta Blanca.
